The new patch really made waterfront housing waterfront.......

I have a different, but still somewhat similar problem.

See the grassland, well, that should be sea bed. The water disappears on zoom.

Never had this before, only since today's patch.

Seems time to uninstall is coming. They cant fix this masterpiece of a bugged mess. And reinstall it after another year.

Maybe they did implement tsunamis? /s

The water that doesn't come back is probably a bug, like all other 46546231567465 bugs.

No no no, it's beachfront property, not waterfront. They had to call it beachfront because the only way to get a beach in a game with no beaches is to remove the sea.
