Never used the forums, and never will.
I only registered to get access too that castle asset when the game released.
(yet to find it ingame)

Ive only ever spoke here, and always will.
forums are a hugely outdated platform that past their sell by date, 15 plus years ago. the thought of being on a platform like that for 1 product, or company brand, when i could be on steam, that has everything, is a no brainer. steam dispite being old now, is still the only upto date platform around.

Ive heard only bad things about those forums, with people getting banned for expressing compliments, suggestions, complaints, and bug reports.
sounds like a very toxic company, which obviously reflects the state of their game. Feedback regardless of whether its good or bad, should be taken seriously, and digested to make the game better. banning/ignoring people of their opinions, will only make the game worse, and go in a direction that players do not want it to go.

Honestly. from what ive played and seen throughout the entire CS2 release until now, its been nothing short of a sham. I cant say the game is a scam, since its a working game, but official adverts ive seen, falsely claiming economical features, to really bad performance, to boring unchallenging gameplay, to simply being a dull aesthetic in game, and now with a broken map editor, and no attention to AA support, specifically TAA being an aboslute wreck dispite being the best, to the DLC greed train, and still not having "beaches", which will probably be another DLC. is nothing but a joke.

Its crazy how a company can fall from the greatness of CS1, to the disaster that is Cs2.
And they cant even release editors, that are polished, to try and bring back players.

This is par for the course. :steamlaughcry: Of course they know it’s horrible.

official forums are just propaganda centers ran by people who hate free speech, but love big corporations
Haristess Mar 27, 2024 @ 8:21pm
@chorion

I just think, we're living in a very sensitive time period, where people cannot accept disagreement, nor respect each other.
its a very Woke society now. creativity is down the pan, in general, and even making friends nowadays is increasingly difficult, given you have to be 100% in agreement with said individuals.
Dating apps, to where you need to match other people, to the games/films even the music industry has fallen off a cliff.
Its literally everywhere now.

I dont think its a love for big corporations, as much as it is embarrassing change. those who areo n those forums dont ultimately mind being on another platform, but being unfriendly, and banning people, of their opinions, and free speech in general, will never create success.

the issue is, admin and mods are protected, and theres a huge tribal atmosphere that happens in communities, and peopel on the inside are never seen as responcible, despite banning people for giving feedback.
Its bad company recruitment, and a bad image.

The forums have a major echo chamber problem and it even effects the devs' perception of reality because of how toxic it really is.

paradox forums dont just have paradox fans, but people with specific political, racial, and gaming views who create an echo chamber that distort what the devs see as reality.

HOI4 had a whole "apology" where they thought bad reviews were a coordinated harassment campaign, no one wanted the DLC because it was latin american instead of German, and not because of its price and lack of content.

The same is true for every other game but with the reasons changed.

The forums basically gaslight the devs into not seeing what players actually want and are actually saying and making them paranoid that everyone is out to get them.

I have learned to just stop hoping things improve with paradox because the devs will just listen to the "issues" from the vocal minority on the forums instead of fixing the actual issues with the game.

The sooner paradox realizes the forums are not their friend, the faster things will improve.
Haristess Mar 27, 2024 @ 10:31pm
@Nahui Ollin

Youtubers and respected modders from CS1, were and are the vocal Minority, given they had a whole private discord setup, and even invited them to a stupid event hanging from a crane.

Watching youtubers, do their thing, and listenning too their views, i often sit here thinking how detatched they really are, interms of what they want, and what needs improving. Youtubers, havent really ever spoken about the game needing far more depth, and creative freedoms, and sit reserved hoping modders will resolve everything.
I know this may come across as a tiny detail, but ive not once heard a youtuber, comment on how bad the water is, and like CS1, theres no rapid/waterfall dynamic. the water clips through terrain, and goodluck building tunnels close too the coastline.

I mean, look at the Beach properties DLC, and yet we dont have any beaches in the game. the priorities are screwed, and not to say youtubers have a say here, but if they are voices devs listen too, then by gosh, why arnt they communicating this stuff. And from a dev perspective. surely you dont need a youtuber, to give you ideas when you yourself buildign the game should be a creative thinker.
And lets be honest. youtubers only want views so their not in the interests of us gamers, particularly where DLC is concerned.
for a youtuber, they can happily fork out a few hundred quid on DLC, where the average joe, cannot.

Id love to see real functioning industries, such a oil rigs, and all the subsystems that support such an operation, such as employer helicopter pad ports, and oil tanker docklands, that all travel too and from oil rigs.
Fisheries. Why not allow us to build fishing ports, where Trawlers actually travel out into the open ocean areas of the map, and fish.
Hell.. why not take some inspiration from the old classics of Simcity4, where you could actually do missions, races, jobs, etc, by driving vehicles, and flying, and sailing out at sea along coastal lines.
the point im making here, is a city should feel alive, with lots of different things going on. Its also about "fun". CS2, isnt fun, and is very boring compared to previous city builders. They couldnt even make the screen capture features, an actual gameplay feature, enabling us to change the way our maps/cities look, but instead forced to take pointless screenshots and animations. features i doubt most will ever use. I dont even know why that was even in the game honestly. such a waste of development.

and dont get me started on how big and ugly all the service buildings are, and how unattractive they are to be plopped into a very squared/rectangular grid format. Get rid of the plots, and be innovative, and allow us the freedom to plop down buildings anywhere, and have particular links, such as parking and bus stops, to connect htem to roads. why should a plot, have to connect too a road.
Why do we even have parks as plots???
cant we make our own parks by mapping out our own areas and assigning them to be "park".

Its all very dumb kiddy stuff in cs2, and less geared towards creative thinkers, in a game that should be about creative thinkers.

I have proof they banned for simply saying that parks are empty.

I am gathering more proofs from many users and then I will send it to magazines and to Pdx themselves to warn them their moderators are alienating customers and making them lose money.

To be clear.

I am not talking about toxic comments that break the rules, I am talking about normal comments that don't violate any rule and aren't toxic at all.

the funny thing is that they've runned away from their own forum since yesterday cause they don't have the courage to assume what they make

And yes they have the ban easy. I've also been ban here to say that they didn't answer a bug report for 4 months.

All this story remind me Creative Assembly in late 2023. Wondering if CO will have the intelligence to act like CA did

You need to play the game with your eyes open, you will see it.

CA only acted when they saw the sales of the new game and Dlc were absolutely disastrous.

For Pdx to act the same they should have poor sales on the next big Dlc, in that case they may care

Is it not your post and your nickname? At the monent I am writing this you are not banned, the thread is still active and there is no moderator's activity.

People disagree and laugh at your post, but you are not banned.

Maybe we all came too early, the right time to play this game is ten years later, when they will finally figure out how to fix half of the bugs.

This is all part of a plan... this is no accident, This has been planned for decades, it is a "cultural" way to achieve marxism,.... instead of class war you get intersectionallity societal war, And it began in kindergarden... and ended in games.. this is just the beginning.
They want to go after youtubers too
