My game started the new launcher by paradox and now my New launcher says "Please wait while we fetch your games..." its been stuck on that for ages and on the top right it shows that its trying to log in.

Anyone else have this problem?

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cities Skylines II\Cities2.exe" %command%

Adjust the path if your install location is different. Add that to your game launch properties and forget the whole launcher.

Agreed. I've posted this several times. My shortcut looks like this...

"E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Cities Skylines II\Cities2.exe" %command% -developerMode
(all one line, no break)
Usually mods will load first time, almost every time. Interesting, isn't it? With out the Paradox Launcher, mods work almost every time first time. Very, very, interesting.
Doing this may also explain why I have so few CTDs. I pretty much only get a crash to desktop when making a change to lanes using LaneManager mod, and rarely with MoveIt. I haven't had a crash to desktop otherwise since pretty much after the first or second patch/update. Might be completely unrelated, too. Who knows with a game this badly written.

And YES disable the beta launcher if you don't use this kind of shortcut and stick with the Paradox launcher for Heaven's sake.

The launcher is a useless use tracker. It is all it is. So they know when you play their game. For Paradox, not CO. CO knows when you play their game because the game logs you into your Paradox account anyway as well as telling CO "Hey! Hello? Colossal Order tracking server? Are you there? This user using this name has started this game at this time on this date at this IP using this CPU and this GPU and this amount of this kind of memory and this kind of hard drive. Got that? Send back an acknowledgement or I'll send this information in the open again until you send back an acknowledgement."

Yeah, started the game the old-fashioned way and no mods unless I restarted the game all over. Hilarious! The Paradox launcher is screwing with the mods loading. Predictable. These people are all incompetent.
