I know some people don't like big youtubers like Biffa but I'm starting to get REALLY annoyed with smaller ones like city planner mismanages. I see so many video's by youtubers like city planner mismanages where they are just slamming CO for views. CO has officially apologized and are at least trying to do the right thing but there are so many youtubers who are putting CO in a horrible light just so that they get more views causing discord in the community. In my eye's youtubers that do this are no better than CO and have turned into hypocrites.

Media reporters/streamers/reviewers often swim with the current public opinion/reception of something.
Whatever generates views or income.

Some sign pre-release gag orders with developers/publishers, others don`t.
Those who sign ... will smooth talk a game before launch.

You make it sound like YouTubers are the ones telling us there are many bugs in the game and how unplayable some of us have found the game to be.

The truth is, CO and PDX caused discord by producing a game that is not for most of us and then calling us toxic, and then charging us for palm trees and some beach buildings with no beach!

As for Biffa (and City Planner Plays), unless he's uploaded a video today, hasn't played CS or 2 in weeks, and I wonder if it's not because the game is as city planner mismanages has described it.

You act like CO has been wonderful or something. Apologies also only work if the issue is being fixed. Now as a repayment for something I paid for and didnt get, they offer $39 value of some assets we used to get free from workshop and soundtracks that most dont even listen to and have no value. This is horrible attempt at fixing the issue. I dont pay for mods, nor content from people outside the game devs themselves. Correct fix would have been another bundle later down the road to compensate the lose we paid for.

At this time, all content creators have a right to talk down about CO and PDX. CO I know isnt the main issue and PDX is front running it. But, this will not be justified by throwing workshop items at us and thinking it is fine.

Like those Twitch streamers who will act like theyre your best freind while theyre streaming, butt offline they dont give a crap who you are. and want you to piss off and stop bothering them. I watched a Jacksepticeye video recently where he said his fans terrify him and he doesnt want to see any of his fans in real life.

The apology was way too late to get behind it and sympathise, they knew it was lacking before they even released the DLC, they knew the game had way too many issues before they even released it.

But all they were doing is pinning hopes that it would suffice, and the majority would give it a thumbs up so more people would buy into it... it didn't work, and now they are sorry it didn't.

They ain't sorry because it was all lacking, they are sorry it didn't work, that they couldn't just half-heartedly shove something out the door and it magically fix the current opinion poll.


Whether its PDX, CO or both... they are both in the same basket now.

Yes, but now there’s been an apology and they have taken some steps towards fixing the game. Biffa is smart enough to walk way from cities: skylines 2 until it’s better fixed unlike city planner mismanages who can’t seem to let it go.

Errh, no.

Those two patches came before the apology.
That apology came after those two patches and only came because their DLC was the worst rated DLC on Steam out of thousands of DLCs. That's quite a feat.

Not just that, but the base game reviews are also tanking week, by week and the player numbers are continually falling.

CO did not issue this apology. PDX issued this apology. That's why a small time CEO from PDX co-signed that apology.
Mariina has vehemently opposed giving an apology at every step of the way, resorting to just calling us toxic.

There's zero goodwill left in the community. For good reasons.
WHEN they actually show some sort of action on the matter - then we can discuss whether this apology had meaning, until then it's just more hot air from CO.

Oh, they've made one patch since that apology.. Which unsurprisingly does not address the main issues.. I don't expect it to be an easy task, but they've yet to even acknowledge they're working on it.

I am not going to lie, but I did kind of go back to my windows 98 machine and play those dos and windows 95/98 games as I have hit a threshold of crap-assed games within the last 10 years. Indie developers are incredible, however, and are filling the spaces that these corporate entities seem to have lost the ability of achieving. I cannot play my favourite game (Team Fortress 2) right now as I love playing with playerbots, and the x64 update borked them good as well as my sourcemod/metamod plugins.

the thing is with youtubers they get paid to be angry and tell you to be angry
on youtube.
allso ive seen alot of videos recently of youtubes slamming CO.
so im assuming by that that slamming CO gets the views so you gotta get the views as a youtuber couse views mean money. like yeah youtubers dont care about you they just want to get views for money.
