"object reference not set to an instance of an object" error
I have this error that says "cities skylines 2 object reference not set to an instance of an object". Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this? I already verified the integrity of the game files and I tried disabling all mods. The error message shows up as soon as I launch the game.

Yeah, this is an nice error, that means, that something did not load properly, propably some file is a bit dameged. You have to reinstall whole game. Good luck.
I had a few errors after installing new mods that I hadn't tried before. I reloaded the game about four or five times and it fixed itself. Hopefully it'll continue to do that. :)

If youve tried everything else and nothing works go into your %appdata% folder, locate your CS2 folder, and delete ONLY the .cache folder. You will be able to load up the game after that. Now where the tedium comes into play, is youll have re-sign back into your paradox account in-game and it'll have to re-download ALL of your mods. Which in my case, took a good while. Its a pile of ♥♥♥♥ mod manger problem

having the same error box show up "object reference not set to an instance of an object" , Checked file integrity with a result of 100%, removed all mods, deleted cache folder, uninstalled and re-installed CS II thru Steam. None of that fixed the issue. The Error Box has two options "continue" and "quit game" , continuously clicking on the "continue" button will get rid of the Error Box so the CS II main menu can be accessed BUT the game is corrupted and unplayable in my case no roads can be seen or placed and the mouse cursor appears to be a dropper instead of an arrow. Checked PC updates or hardware an drivers even tried to open game on different computer same issue, hopefully devs @Colossal Order will resolve this in-game issue.

Nothing works... it shows up even after I reinstalled it, deleted ONLY the cache folder, and even after continuously clicking on the "continue" button

I get this error and can get through it to load or start a game after clicking "continue" exactly 10 times. Weird.
