Turning Lanes and Traffic Signal Controls in Base Game
The importance of the Traffic Manager: Presidents Edition to CS 1 had a huge impact to the playability of the game itself, that I believe this should be incorporated into the base game of CS2. I've understand that modders have been working hard to try and get a similar mod to work in CS2, but is taking a lot of time due to the complexity of the CS2 code. Using the work-around versions that are available are ok, but they just don't provide the same functions from the CS1 version, and I would argue that traffic management is a large part of the gaming experience of CS2. The variety of options in TM:PE is what made it versatile for traffic management, the priority signage and lane controls helping small population areas, and signal timing for the 8-lane monstrosity intersections. These functions contributed so much to the richness of the game experience that not having them is quite a let-down, and I would hope that the developers see this and consider adding this functionality to the game. I believe doing so would elevate the game well above it's current state and at the same time it may win back a few of the early users from the release period. Hopefully this message hits with some others out there that would like to see this kind of thing.

Cheers.

Well, mods added a lot of features to CS1 that became indispensable to me. TM:PE is one of them. I consider these mods that important that I don't believe any serious city creator has played without them.

For me it is a huge disappointment that no even the most basic mods have been included to the game. I mean why is 'Move it' not a standard feature of the game!? Street building has been greatly improved, but it is still a big problem that you cannot set up lanes like in TM:PE. The base game is not doing a good job here at all. Also we need to set up phases for traffic lights an stuff.

And why is an Anarchy setting not in the game? I know and use devmode, but this should not be hidden behind complicated UI that you need to enable via command line. Why is there even a mod necessary!? Why can we not choose zoning settings!?

All the modders are cool and I am thankfull to them. But for sure the game would run more stable if not every player would need to add those basic funtionalities with third party software.
