Running like S*** after latest update.
Installed the new update. Game is now running super slow and the HUD disappears if I try to do anything. Paradox have once again lived up to their awful reputation. Gotta admire their consistency.

According to reports on the CS Discord, reports of the UI disappearing are linked to the gooee mod.

What is the gooee mod?

I don't have gooee and the same thing happens to me too

gooee is a mod that some other mods use as a dependency so they can function.

Another dependency mod is called ExtraLib which appears to also be a potential cause of issues, so you should look for that too.

I was having the problem with the disappearing UI. I disabled all of my mods and the problem went away. I figure I'll just take the easy route and wait a couple of days before enabling them all again rather then messing with it now. Hopefully things will be fixed by then.

Thanks. Not using mods. Maybe I should? Appreciate the advice tho.

You should probably uninstall and reinstall game. I opened up my latest save, turned off mods for a bit and city is working. I am going through a death wave they said would happen, but otherwise all is working. I had similar issues after previous patch, and the fresh install helped. Just a suggestion, but I bet it will help.

I was really looking forward to the update. Before the update, After Intel, Nividia and Microsoft 11 came out with several updates I no longer received any blue screens and the game only crashed if the mods were not loaded by the game. With the update there is a new problem: When I open a HUD (for example for police) a building is immediately selected and wants to be placed in the game. It is not possible to leave this HUD with ESC. After a few seconds, my extra CPU fans switch on and the CPU performance increases from 15% to 100%. The game can only be cancelled via the task manager. Note: This fatal error also occurs with a new game and without mods.

New city or existing city? The FPS is tanking in my game because in my existing city for 450k people the sim has to change everything and its just tanking it.. but I can see it improving as the sim catches up..

Problem is fixed now. I let steam check the installed files ... restarted my Windows and now some mods are flagged as "crashes game" and unistalled. Now the game runs without issues.
