Simcity 2024 edition
EA was pretty cool about it, gave me a free top shelf game. Mass Effect 2 i think it was. To which i have more hours in that game then i do in this one and i bought this at release.

Yeah, some people just ramble about the most random things. It's like when people post on Facebook or Instagram about stuff no one cares about as if anyone's going to say "hey, I like this."

EA apologized for the problems with the release and shortcomings of SimCity (2013) - and, compensated people with a limited choice of a decent, free EA game.

Correct, CO has repeatedly demonstrated that they aren’t interested in or capable of creating an immersive city simulation. The military, which is large part of life, would greatly add depth and realism. Ergo, it’s never going to happen. CSL1 at least had third party assets that you could add - albeit with a lot of effort. Many of us were hoping for a city simulator with a good foundation where we could more easily build the cities and landscapes we envisioned. CO went backward instead of forward.

Malaria outbreaks, massive earthquakes, invasion, plague, UFO, actual moving monsters, etc.
SC4 had elements of these and so on.
You could control them, turn it on/off when needed (prompts).

DID NOT effect city building, functioning in anyway at all, if you did not want to use them.

It can be done. Even better now. More settings. A more lethal Ragnarok mod than CS.
Accidents are in CSII. There is no difference in a tornado or massive tidal wave.
A bigfoot roam or a building collapsing on a raceway.
Machine gun massacre at Antonio's or small nuke of a town when viewing it gets on your nerves. Totally obliterating that beautiful, perfect city you made (use a save)
with a handy Hbomb. Fighter jets taking out a skyscraper. Gas mask terrorism, newest land tank downing a battleship.
Plain out total war, nuke/standard/chem/viral/tech, between two areas built on the region.
Common stuff.
Pure, continuous, visually inspiring, enhanced, man made hell.
A side small menu pull down or DLCs.

DOES NOT effect city building, functioning in anyway at all, if you do not want to use them.

All this is normal. But, today, no.
Appears politics are infiltrating games.
Don't touch that! Keep of the grass!

A Comprehensive CSII

shame enough that again in part 2 there are no churches at all which are the center in every european and north american town. wtf has it to do with religion? it's about history, realism and architecture. all this two faced hypocritical s hitting bricks. it's ridiculous and pathetic. but it's just a mirror of what our society has become. i wouldn't be surprised if they would implement some pride ****. perfect match to our completely crazy zeitgeist

Agree on needing realism. Blocking you, like I’ve blocked so many others, for attacking Pride, or woke, or being hateful or fascist.

Ok, I'll bite. How exactly does military "add depth and realism" to a modern city builder game?

What you are really saying is you went from a mobile app > to simple combat.
? No idea what you are getting at.

I am sure that is the easy demeanor for most all gamers
given CS/CSII is a far more difficult, complex product.

Your title reads (leads) one down a different perception and misconception.
If it's to provoke and push ahead CO/PDX, well, everyone is doing that. :)

Also, Maxis Emeryville (full game maker) was shut down in 2015.
There will be no new full SimCity product.

Military bases, vehicles, personnel, uniforms, jet fighters, helicopters, policies, NIMBY/YIMBY, are all a common part of communities all around the world. And, make cities more realistic and immersive. CSL2 is a big step backwards from CSL1 in this area. Hopefully a real city simulator will have them someday soon.

Also trenches & grenades for Cims, that would make a great Army DLC.

So just a question then. Do you think a big church would be a priority in any western newly founded city?

I love cathedrals, I'm an atheist though but I just enjoy the history, art and just the feeling of them, but if I was building a new city here in Sweden, I for sure wouldn't add a church to the city-planning.
First of all, cause noone would visit it, secondly and like you said yourself, churches are historical, would just be weird to build a new one then.

And I do like the fact that you're talking about churches, then bigotry, and end up with hating a group of people.

I don't think you understand religion at all. (I know you never said you were religious but I just find it funny that you phrased it this way)
