Life is a Simulation. Cities 2 Vs High Rise City.
Yes folks the new Major, life is a simulation update just dropped on HRC.
Bringing new production lines, Building variants, office planning and performance improvements.
Having played cities two, earlier for about 3 hours I had more entertainment watching old Edna mowing her lawn through the window. The game is just bland with nothing to aim for other than trying to get to 100k+ population without my pc blowing up. Its just an empty coffin waiting to go through the incinerator.

I cant for the life of me understand why people still play it! No gameplay, Fake simulation and the worst performance and progress development of any genre for a supposedly AAA title.

I went back to check on HRC and found that the progress made by the developer is phenomenal. Every citizen can be tracked, huge amount of new building types that just shame CS2 and its developers. And its all included in the update not like the pocket pinching antics of CO and paradox.

The game also runs flawlessly with just over 3 million population and not one single bug or crash. If you havent already played it HighRise City, then give the demo a go. Its what cities two, should have been. Instead CO/Paradox released a train wreck that is heading off the cliff.

Highrise city = 8.5

Cities 2 = 2.75.

Anno series beats HighRise City IMO.
Zerotheliger Jun 3, 2024 @ 4:41pm
having played that game its not very realistic and it really limits your creative freedom. cities is good cause you can build massive cities with custom assets and tons of mods and detail the hell out of your city. highrise is just another anno clone. once you remove the fancy city paint. not to mention cities skylines 2 is way more stable than high rise city is. high rise city has tons of crashes and a more confusing UI its less polished than cities.

Does HRC have curved roads yet? When I tried it a year or so ago, without curved roads, I didn't care for the appearance of the cities.

HRC is not even near the genre of CS1 let alone CS2. HRC is as good as it will every get while CS2 has just begun to emerge.

Lol. Here we go. Desperate comparison between apple and orange again...

CS2 has just begun to emerge? LOL why because they got a few hundred extra players worldwide? Because city planner and Biffa were invited to have a say on the future development.

And yes the curved roads have always been there I think. Well since I started playing it anyway. They are selected on the curved road icon.
MK please enlighten me on what you think that CS2 has the HRC doesnt?
I dont want to here about trains and parallel roads.

Dude the cities you can build are huge and realistic to real cities and populations in real life.
CS2 cant offer you this. Yeah there are a few crash reports but nothing compared to CS2. Do you read the CS2 threads it is littered with bad performance and crash reports.
Creativity has never been an issue in HRC either. If you like like to plop and drop then every asset in the game can be selected to make your city look more impressive. Its all build in without having to download from third parties of broken systems such as paradox mods.

Agree, and still have to wonder why the OP has this need to keep comparing HRC to other games. This could be a sign of some sort of insecurity, that they have. Because rather than let HRC stand up on its own merits, they have to keep comparing it to other games.

Hey Zero, it aint me that keeps banging on about HRC. The Stockholmers keep saying that I am promoter of the game so I cant let them down lol. I am tired of them getting me banned for the most trivial of comments so now I just am what they say I am.

I'm just gonna leave this here from the "Low Players Count" thread...

What I find most funny about this is the number of people on here who whined about anyone who had the least bit positive to say about the game clearly being a paid shill... Are now largely suspiciously silent when faced with someone who is actually shilling. Really makes you think...

Like I'm not going to sit here and say that CSL2 is or was in a good place: for all the good I pointed out in the past, the game just should not have released in the state that its in and it shouldnt have taken them this long to acknowledge one of the principle problems it has. But JFC. Anything for attention, I suppose. Having tried HRC's demo... While it may, actually have better simulation, it has little if any mod support, it's UI is atrocious (like, Cities XXL levels of bad), and it just does not play as smooth as either CSL1 or 2.

We get it: you like the game. How about you go play it instead of just annoying your principal audience? And not try to give some nonsense rating like you're trying to be objective?

They all got perma-banned. Nothing suspicious about their silence in reality.

How much are they paying you, can I apply somewhere so I can say it here too. I don't trust you with you 350hrs of HRC.

Its a frickin city builder lol. So is cities or was supposed to be. Im not actually sure you can even class CS2 as a city builder or a simulation anymore. City painter maybe? I dont know but its one boring and poor performing game.

Even with the economy being allegedly fixed with the new update, things are still going to be pretty bland and pointless to say the least. Still going to have the same boring houses, offices and traffic jams galore. No goal or targets to be achieved apart from reaching the final milestone and maybe a 1 mill population.

But you trust CO to bring you a working title? They must be paying you well to keep promoting this junk.
