"Who needs 60fps on PC anyway"?
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
That's right cunsoomer. Accept below average product and get excited for next below average product.
:D
This game has an absurd development history and quality.
It will be interesting to see where the Steam score & Steam player feedback
stand at this year's Christmas time.
30 FPS for a PC game in 2024 is atrocious.
According to the games Community Manager, posting in the Paradox forum,
they are still trying to figure out what is wrong with the game
Steam users gave extensive game feedback in the first week after game launch,
in October 2023.
One just needs to read the Steam forum and Steam player reviews for 20 minutes every day.
If that is too much to handle, then one is lost
However, if you play at 30 for a while the mind adjusts.
PS if you knew anything about anything you would know cinematic footage at 24fps includes blurred images in scenes of fast object movement which softens the shock of ♥♥♥♥ jumping around in front of your eye frantically. A computer game does not render this way by default, hence you get motion sickness and headaches.
Nice try though.
Frostpunk 2 is currently scheduled to release in the first half of 2024
CS1 was a good game, but what made it great and spectacular was the modding and creator communities who took it to a completely new level. You'll note that for CS1 modders had to do the leg work to improve the fps because CO wouldn't. You need the extra fps / sim speed so that the game can be modded in to something better than vanilla.
1. zero communication and transparency
2. not being able to fix problems and/or hold update schedule
3. removing steam workshop and so excluding the whole mod community
I mean seriously... this is so insanely stupid.
CO going Bethesda / Blizzard big here.
Just wait for Frostpunk 2.
If they fixed the game as quickly as they deleted comments and banned people from the forum, it would be great.
