Colossal Order might have a severe process issue..
As CS:2 continues to be a completely unmitigated dumpster fire that is consuming everything in its path I think it is clear that they must be something very wrong inside Colossal Order and their development process. Now, with the latest word of the week I think we know what might be the issue. And that is their feedback process.

As you can see they start to review analyze feedback before they have even decided if it can improve the game. And they determine if it can improve the game before they prioritize what needs to be fixed.

It seems to me that they are just throwing stuff at the wall and when the wall is already messy only then they decide what needs to stick. And I think we could see that with CS:1 as well, some of the DLCs that we got were just bizarre like Sunset Harbor.

I think:
Collect Feedback→Determine Improvements→Prioritize→Design→Implement→Test→Reiterate & Retest→Patch
would be better as prioritization is prioritized, that way resources can be concentrated to what needs to be fixed most.

CO developed their own game game, they knew the exact state of their own game before launch.
They don't need user feedback, they knew what they had fabricated as a game.

I think it's more to impress Paradox, that CO posts this stuff in to the Paradox forum.
They don't want to loose their seller and marketeer.

The primary customer of CO is Paradox. Gamers already have paid in full.

I'm pretty sure all the games CO ever made were in the Unity engine...

Love the PR spin here combining bug reports and feature requests into one pot of "gamer feedback". Mariina must be proud of herself.
Imagine getting bug reports and then a guy has to determine whether fixing the bugs aligns with the games vision, as is stated in step two of the process here. Lmao.

Yeah, not a very good process...

Unfortunately I see in my corpo job many peoples representating her level of specialization. They don't do nothing, just walk from meeting to meeting smiling like they understand everything, sad thing to many they seem as best worker, so her grant scheme could live on long ^^

Never under estimate their ability to shoot their selves in the foot. They have after all had plenty of time to practice their aim.

The problem is the mentality of people like Mariina. Even if she was caught with a jerrycan of petrol and a box of matches while trying to burn down the building CO is housed in during one of her moments of revaluation, actually using the match and throwing it in to the fumes, she would still lie about it when accused of arson, deny she has anything to do with it. And when pressed, she would spin it, saying it was planned and communicated. The fire is part of the deal and if you don't like it, it's not for you.

People like her and and the team of spineless braindead puppets around her can't do anything wrong. They have just marvelous lives, their houses have been paid, they couldn't care less about the game, the money people have spend on it and their equipment, the damage it's doing to the hardware of some.

They do not care. They think the way things are going are caused by just the worst toxic people. Nothing is their fault. They are not going to fix anything important soon. The unbunching will never be fixed. The traffic ai will never be fixed. The way harbors work will never be fixed. It is not even on their radar. You still have water in your parking garage as the water layer is under the entire map. This game is unplayable if you want to actually simulate a city. You cannot get a busline that operates only during daytime that actually works because Mariina thinks that busses (and all other public transport) should wait for the first bus to move far enough down the line before the second gets to move so that the busses are spaced out evenly. This means that youll have all busses waiting at the first stop in the morning, all because ms. Perfect here thinks this is the way things should work. It does not simulate reality. What it is simulating is their cognitive dissonance. There are no bugs. These are all design features. Just like all woke bs these days. If you don't like it, you can crawl in a ditch and die because they sure as hell are not going to do anything about it because they will never ever admit they made a mistake.

I can't even read the Wotw without getting a minor aneurysm. These people are sick in the head. I can't take this much longer.

I have seen that before too at a former company I worked at. The executives and the COO would socialize and have meetings all day but nothing ever got done.

And there are even some people who are proud of it. There was a video going around of a (former) Twitter employee whose day consists of meetings, enjoying nice food, relaxing in different rooms and enjoying generally her life. Not that you can't enjoy your work life but it really seemed like there wasn't a lot of work being done. No wonder Twitter was losing 4 million a day before musk bought it when there are such people around running things.

Do they spend too much time on linkedin as well?

I generally agree. But The only thing I don't agree is about caring. They actually do care when they are forced to. If it affects their paychecks, then people generally get scared and might start fixing things.

Facebook, and in person socializing.

Yes, LinkedIn is to this type of people what Facebook were in times of popularity. They were never popular in times of Facebook, now they glance in sweet talk, nothing more.

Have noticed that Word of The Week #14 has vanished from the timeline on the games community page.

I really have no idea how they actually function as a company or how they get things done. As a former customer and a potential future one (looking doubtful) I do care about the results and how they treat their customers and respond to their concerns.

On both of those fronts I would say I use to have a lot of trust in them, however this release has severely damaged that. There is no doubt they knew what they were doing when they released this game and if they didn’t, that would be even worse.

Their response, while they seem to be trying, has been pretty bad as well. I don’t know if it’s a leadership thing, an arrogance thing or an ability thing but they need to figure it out. They have one game that keeps them in business and right now that product doesn’t seem to be on an upward trajectory.

I truly wish them the best and hope they fix it but my confidence is not high.
