I was thinking of PA2, but with everything going on recently, Paradox can stick it up their rear end. I'm done with them.
But obviously depending on who they are i may be more cautious, before i would do so.
The only things that will stop me buying games is:
Store Exclusivity (Epic Games for example, and i try to avoid anything to do with Microsoft Store tbh)
Always online for a single player game (SimCity 2013)
Trying to force games down the path of subscription gaming. (aka Microsoft; no thank you, it would cost me more long term than it would buying the games i would play)
I wholeheartedly agree with boycotting both the Dev. studio and the publishing studio involved in this fiasco. If some miracle lawsuit let us delete the game and get our money back I would do it in an instant.
It runs like rubbish, has no mod support, and the simulation itself is broken to the point where it can harm or even outright end your city with its problems no matter what you do. Your only choice to keep playing at that point is use unsupported Mods and hope one of those can fix your issue.
Too bad steam does not curate who is allowed to put a game on their platform, because if they did neither company should be allowed to have sales here after this morally ambiguous release of what they call a "game".
They still cant admit any wrong doing or blame and no sort of apology. And have the nerve to insult their customers. And banning people for being annoyed. They are shameless scum. I cant be any politer than that.
Their casual nature, yeah, the game aint great but, but some people still enjoy it, and we can decide whenever to fix it at out pace, just accept it.
If they werent so arrogant they might be embarrassed
Do I need to say more?
BTW, Developer/Publisher/Retailer are not a gamer's friend, usually they are all business owned by investors, who yearn only short term profit. Bless the fiew small exceptions
Look up their releases since they went public 2016. It's a disaster list
Doesn't appeared to have helped. They had 3 failures in October. Star Trek, lamplighter league and cs2
Irrelevant. Still his decision to release games that weren't ready for launch. Which means they should have either been cancelled in development or delayed and not have had their releases when they did.
He has a board and majority stock holders to answer. It's about turning profit not making a good game for the gaming community. It's about how to milk more money. If the game happens to be good it's just a bonus for them.
Lamplighter league still had a day 1 dlc for 8 bux while 75% of the dev studio was fired over the summer and they knew the rest of the studio would soon follow.
He is CEO now while they still have a dlc #2 posted for sale on steam for empire of sin. A declared dead game the developers abandoned. But pdox is still selling a non existent dlc that will never ever be made.
You also forgot to mention he was CEO until 2018 and only had less then 36 months before becoming CEO again.
So cut out this defender of the faith garbage.
