Question about making intersection on two way road.
Is there any way that I can make a intersection on a two way road that only affects the lanes going in one direction?

My question applies to all road sizes. But as an example say I have a four lane road. Two lanes going east and two going west. I want to connect a two lane one way highway to the east lane. But I want this connection to have no affect on the west bound lane. The center barrier/line for the two way road should remain unbroken.

Is there any way to do this?

You can use traffic mod lane connector to do the limitations on turning etc. but continuous median isn't possible right now.

Thank you for the reply. Yeah I already use that mod. It's very helpful. And I also remove the traffic lights using the game's road tool. But the cars still stop at the intersection. Even ones passing straight through.

Are they giving way for pedestrians or other vehicles? Can you post a screenshot with large enough area visible around the problem intersection?

I just figured out why they were stopping. It was a combination of trying to not block the intersection due to backed up traffic and pedestrians crossing at the walkway. But by pure luck. I just happened to place a bunch of high density zoning nearby. Now all of the congestion moved over there. So I no longer have the stopping problem at the moment. :)

But I'd still like to be able to to attach a road (or highway) to just one direction of a two way road.

Here's a screen shot of my intersection. I'd like to have a unbroken center barrier for the road heading east - west. And get rid of the pedestrian crossings for the bottom lanes heading east.

I put a short stint of 2 one way roads when I want something like this. Use the Move It mod to get them really close and if you are using dev mode or the Find it mod you can find some barriers to put in the middle for aesthetics.

Thanks! That helps with some of the problems. I was already messing around with using two one way roads. But I didn't realize Find It could be used for that. I have it installed. I just haven't gotten around to using it.

This example is REALLY sloppy but it should help with my explanation.

I didn't realize I could remove passenger crossings until I saw your screen shot didn't have them. But I figured it out now. So thanks that helped. And I assume the yellow barrier is a asset you placed. But how did you do the grey curb that's beneath the barrier?

The grey curb is the sidewalks on the one way streets. I use Move it to squeeze the roads together. If I was going to use this intersection I would upgrade the roads with trees or something other than the sidewalks to keep cims from using them.

Glad I could help though. Share what it finally looks like.
