But we'll just have to wait and see. I'm not looking on the bright side of things, but I'd be more than happy to be proven wrong.
Didn't do that last time and ended up with an overpriced prerelease I haven't played, and been playing the Forum DLC that's free, since week one.
i have all but given up on the ultimate content and just looking forward to playing again, Hopefully not for a couple of hours this time.
IMHO these posts explain very little. We'll see how it actually plays, what bugs it solves (e.g. high density residential never reaching rank 5), and what bugs it creates.
All I get from these dev blogs is more and more questions.
The legends whisper next week, but who really knows.
The biggest cities in the world incuding New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo are still growing and improving decades after developing their available physical terrain.
Take some time to look at screenshots of CS2, all you see is little sub 300k populations sprinkled with the rare ridiculously compromised and strangled efforts to go beyond.
Yeah, that's the point of my work. To highlight how hard it already really is to break free from those limits. Sure the game runs well if you can accept a small lifeless restrained city. Actually runs very well, but ask yourselves at which point do YOU hit that invisible wall?
This coming patch promises us nothing to get past those small restricted towns. But it does promise to make it harder to achieve the same result. Just like everyone has demanded. Didn't you?
All we hear lately is "the game is too easy". The game is not easy by any means. And apparently it's going to get harder.
I wish the best of luck to everyone who asked for our little biddy burbs to become even more challenging to build.
You want harder? You got it.
Always be carefull what you wish for.
