But since I play with Skyve and it's Skyve which manages my mods and keeps them up to date, I simply ignore that mesage or click on "keep local files".
The game runs pretty well, no matter what I click - or if I click it all..
I really don't want to delete the whole cache folder and wait hours for the game to redownload all 40 GB of mods...
That little ignorable issue is really not worth my time and internet bandwidth.
You can manage the mods outside of the game on the Paradox website. There you can enable/remove mods from playlists or create new playlists etc and once you log into the game it will see your changes there.
You could create an empty playset, make it active, then load into the game let it sync and all taht stuff and then close the game again and then back to the website add/remove whatever else you need and start the game again and let it do it's thing.
Not saying these are the exact steps I take, sometime we just gotta experiment to figure out what works for you. Anyway here is the website (don't forget to login with the same user &password as you do the game).
