Slip Roads

I cannot seem to find slip roads for highways. I tend to build a long road which filters the traffic between Industry and residential. On CS1 I managed JUST to get this method working with the use of slip-roads.

Also I do not know if I am using roundabouts correctly, when I plop one down, there is a single roadgoing around BUT connected by the large highways.

I know a screenshot would be handy here, but I am stumped.

I think I sorted it, I just used a single Highway road this had the desired effect (i.e. prevented overloading the roundabout).
