Is not enough to run the game.. So yeah.. Good luck future proofing this. Once they're done optimizing it in.. the year 2030 we can revisit this topic.
Also, don't wait for a 50xx, not only will the be ridiculously overpriced for minimal gains, there's also no available information on their release date.
Maybe when Intel or AMD release a quad channel cpu lol.
Mmm.. No. Intel will never be good for CS2 with their current e and p cores. It's a simple matter of e-cores being much lower base clock and boosted clock while only having 1 thread cores.
That's not because I prefer AMD.. But I have to say, Intel has been downright silly.. They've had to delay their 7nm transistors twice now and it means that the only way they can keep wattage low while providing similar performance as AMD is by using e-cores.. Meanwhile AMD has moved on to using 5nm which not only are far more efficient they're also far more power conserving.
I don't mind turning down the graphics a little bit.
Oh, by the way, I have the full 64K of memory so it should sing!
GPU is not the issue. Simulation, which strains the CPU, is.
What the game needs are some limits - namely number of agents simulated - from CS1 to make a reappearance again.
They do not need to be mandatory, they should be optional and changed or deactivated at players' own risk.
Of course, this should not break the game, as in not enough service or goods vehicles being generated, or the lack of them not affecting such service.
