Hotels, how?
I have not seen a single hotel in any of my cities. I've done everything I know of to improve attractiveness, zero polution, no traffic, good transportation plenty of education. Perfect budget.

What am I missing? Casinos amusement parks? Sports stadiums, oh we don't have anything other than an old castle and a few parks.

City attractiveness is important.

And i would wish too that the touristic simulation will be deeper. We need more parks, we need to connect our pedestrian trails to prebuilt parks by CO. Thiscwas possible too in CS1 ... why Not in CS2?

Sometimes im about to think, CO was forced to wipe there complete efforts and start from scratch maybe 2 years ago. Maybe a newer UnityVersion was a reason to start all over new again.

But this only would explain the Lack of simulation code ... assets shouldnt been that affected by a fresh start, cause they are mostly code independend.

We will See, it will be getting better. We just need patience and time 🤣

Yup city attractiveness drives hotels so spam spam spam parks and put down a major landmark or 2.

I put down all the major landmarks and attractions and have like 100 parks - still no hotels.

This is possible. They talked about some problems with the "technology" in the development process.
Would not be the first game that had something like this happen too.
Remember the catastrophic Sims 4 release that was caused by a complete overhaul to turn the game from the planned MMO "Olympus" into the messed up single player game "Sims 4" because of the failure of Sim City 2013?

Well then, as the OP I can tell you nothing suggested here at all made any difference what - so - ever in my current city. So I ended up with hundreds of Parks zero taxes of any sort and 80k less population as a result.

Thanks to everyone who responded but none of the well meaning tried by you things worked. Not one single solitary hotel bloomed spawned or in any way or form showed up.

I'll now mark this post as the solution because there is none.

Thanks again, it was worth trying all the solutions.

Did you try zoning commercial in the very green areas of the tourism / attractiveness overlay?
There must be some trick to get those hotels :(

Yup spammed it, all that happend was population loss and abandoned buildings. If you are thinking my city is bad review my screenshots.
Maybe you will see something I missed. Thanks!

Nah, didn't think your city was bad, just curious if the green zone was considered.

After nothing showed I noticed city was full red for lack of welfare offices so I spammed then till fully Green. That cost me another 100k in Pop.

I'm beginning to think it's map related which may be why some spawn hotels and tourism real easy and others nada.

I wonder what maps you all with hotels are using?
Brixen Jan 23, 2024 @ 11:15pm
Im currently playin one of the New maps, something with coralreef or so.

Did you see any positive impact by using the welfare office at all? I tried to us eit a few times but i don't see any reason for it. It doe snot help the poor to pay rent, it only increases their "wellbeing" according to the tooltip, but since wellbeing is great in most cities anyway its probaply just wasted money to build them.

Made no impact other than pop loss and green streets. So for me the test was a failure. My taxes were already zero and wellbeing and health were already great. Education seems to be the only consistent factor to anything in this messed up illogical collage of misaligned factors.
