Renaming Roads
I´d love if the devs would introduce a mechanic to rename specific lengths of road like the one we had in CS1.

You can rename roads. A little different to how you do in CS1 but not too hard. Just click on the road you wish to rename, then click on the name box in the info panel and use the delete or backspace key to remove the name. Enter your own name.

There is no functionality similar to what CS1 had in terms of defining specific lengths of road having certain names. And if you aren't careful, you could have a 5th Ave that winds its way all through your city.
A definite step back among all the improvements made to road building in CS2.
You can keep a road name from going around a corner by making the road just a couple tiles too long, so it's a broken off 'T' instead of a corner. That is much more a cope than a true workaround, though.

Exactly, that's why I think the devs should implement something similar to the road renaming mechanics we had in CS1
