Question about map themes
When I start a new game. I have the option to select the map theme - European or North American. Then once the game starts I can toggle between the two themes when zoning. So my question is. Does the option when starting the game actually do anything important or does it just select which theme I start with?

I have only done NA maps so I can't confirm, but I believe it may be for road signs. All the road signs in my game are NA style, but you don't seem to be able to change them in game the same way you would with zoning.

Thank you! So road signs are different. I wonder if there is any other differences? Hopefully someone will be able to answer that.

Yes you can. As well as you can turn on or off disasters every time you load a save of that map.

So start out with "on" get your achies for disasters early then shut it off.

Thank you very much for the reply. But I'm currently not interested in disasters or achievements. I probably should have been more clear. I was talking about differences between map themes.

Yeah road signs, road markings, the way the ambulances, police cars etc look, etc. I've played about on both types of map and there are quite a lot of visual differences between the two.
