Games crashes when trying to load a save after recent update.

First, I'm aware that I should go to the paradox forums to post this, but I couldn't because there was a requirement that I post the crash logs. There are none, so it wouldn't let me post.

So...when I load the city I was playing yesterday, it just crashes to the desktop. It loads the city up, I get an achievement with the sound. The sound just about gets cut off at the end and then the game itself just closes. I don't even see the city, just the achievement window and that's it. I don't have any mods, just vanilla.

I play on PC using the Xbox app and I got the sane issue.

The game crashes when I try to load my save. Moreover, settings and tutorial tips are also reset.

I occasionally run in ti a series of crashes. Every time, for some reason, a couple of the game files seem to corrupt - even tho I have not updated the game or the system.

I know people say this all the time, but this is the only game this has worked for me. Verify your files through Steam and let it reinstall any files it sees as failed. At least this worked for me.
