Empty city
At the moment i have around 8k people in my city, but the streets are almost empty. I rarely see people running around, only cars driving around are public, police cars, emergency etc. Really rarely i spot a normal car or a truck. Besides that, busses are empty as well.

Is there an option to hide people to improve performance or where are all my people? I mean in my industrial area, there aint any trucks driving around and my commercial area is starting to complain there arent any customers. Maybe its true. But i should at least see some more people on my streets, shouldnt i?

I actually noticed something more concerning, some of the abandoned houses won't regrow after bulldozing them.

recently i noticed that CIMs relate to the "normal" Daily behaviour, so less movement during the working hours and much movement after working hours were they rush to time off and buying stuff

ive only seen this exact issue when there is no outside connection.

pay attention to time of day as well, I have night turned off, so I forget it's 2:00 am. Even though it looks daylight.

8K people really isn't that much. Just wait for it. You will wish to come back to this.
There are sooo many CIMS running around in my 37K city now, it's crazy (and unrealistic). Also cars/traffic jams.
I already build so many 4-lane/6-lane/8-lane roads, roundabouts with pedestrian overpasses etc etc. The 100+K city I live in reallife not even has this crazy amount of big roads or people running around

The marketing department at CO have told many of the cims to stay at home because it makes the performance look better. :steamhappy:

Well you just have 8k pop. If there has a lot of people even in 8k town, then the game cannot afford the traffic on like 80k / 800k pop

I have 10k people and I see plenty of traffic and pedestrians walking about. It looks proportional for the size I built. I do not have any public transport because I wanted to see how the game looks like without it at all. I've got plenty of parking spots to cover all residential needs and I see plenty of cars parked in all of them, matching what I estimate each residence owns in terms of cars (that's not a single family building). So far so good.

Rush hour is a thing and I can see the difference in traffic for sure during that time of the day.
