Save game disappeared ?!

wow is this possible.. all day i am making changes to my city(big changes couse i have 70k people) and my save game just disappeared after a crash!? The strange thing is that I just cant find my saved game now.... the only thing that saves me from losing the whole city is the fact that ive got different saves with different names but still that one i am working all day is gone .... tnx in advance for help

Check at the top to see if you're loading a local game save or from the cloud. Local games saves can be found wherever the game was installed to (typically the C: drive). If it's a cloud save, just check that it's fully synced when you check the game page in your library.

I just had this same issue, I was playing yesterday 6+ hours on a city with over 100k pop, kept saving it in the cloud (always same name) and I closed the game properly afterwards so it wasn't a crash or such. Today I try to load the game with "Continue" in the Launcher, but it throws me into the main menu instead and the Load game list does not have the save listed, only autosaves...
I checked in the Steam savefiles folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\...) and its clearly there, so I closed Steam (exit Steam) then reopened and now the save is shown and works properly!
I think it was a sync issue in the background, after I closed the game yesterday I turned off the computer soon after so maybe the sync got stuck?
TL;DR: Try to check if your file is there in the above location, restart Steam and hope it works then properly.

I have same problem about that. Also I use xb*x g*me p*ss so I close that app after I log out my account and log in again. But I have this situration already

I just encountered the same issue.
Saved it yesterday, the resume button shows a population of 60k
But resume goed to the main menu, and in the load menu I don't see my save game, only a couple of older save games :(

I always save to Steam Cloud, but a lot of saved games already dissapeared. It happens from time to time. I even check after saving if I find the saved game, but with the next start of the game, it is gone...

That happened to me as well, I started a new city and then I saved it to the steam cloud but it disappeared. does anyone know where i can find the city?

Same for me. I play with GeForce Now so I can't have local save. All new saves made since one month desepear.

I am having the same problem, anyone know how to fix it?

I saved my game and played everyday for a few weeks up until 7.20.24, I had a population of over 325K+. I logged on today (8.2.24) after my computer being off off since then and my game is completely gone. This happened for another city I had too in a similar situation. There is not place for "Steam Saved Game" just a general saved spot and my game is not there.. PLEASE HELP.

Turn AUTO save on and set to 10+. The game's save is DESTRUCTIVE so if you save it and it fails it's GG. They never fixed it. Autosave is reliable though.
