Broken save... 100+ hours gone ?

My saved game crashes the game on load. Nothing special happenend on last save, and I can start a new city or load other saves, but my main city with more than 100 hours of play is stuck.
Anyway to fix this or should I ask for a refund right away ?
This is really unprofessionnal from CO !

Look in your My Documents, try both the User folder for Colossal Order / CitiesSkylines2
and the Steam Folder for CitiesSkylines 2

You sure the save is there?

Also Steam won't refund after 100 hours. You're about 98+ hours too late.

Thanks mate.
However, the save is present, both ♥♥♥ and CID files.
It just crashes on load (other save still work).
Did not use anything fancy (like dev mode) and my PC is clean and new.

Looks like there was a patch around 7PM CET, maybe it was rushed once again ?

No idea what might be causing it to crash, but at least it's there - that's hopeful..have a few ideas.
If you can load others but not that one, the only thing I could conclude is your pc ran out of ability to function on that map or the simulation slowed to such a point it wasn't

you could try dropping all settings to bare minimum, then trying to load the save, if it loads like that, then you know it's a graphical or ram issue.

would be my only suggestion with the limited info here.

This is why I quit playing until it is fixed. I lost two very large cities in this way.
Not only is the current save corrupt but every backup save behind it. Entire cities wiped out.
Makes the game not playable.

About what is your population on the save that crashes?

I tried to load various maps multiple times and my saved game loads again !
Perhaps something was stuck in a cache file somewhere ... ?

I wonder if not saving to desktop affects future loads like it did in CS.
