Roundabouts and Lane Management

Am I missing something? If I make a highway roundabout, only one lane turns and also goes straight. I would like to make one lane turn only and the second inner lane to turn or go straight. This is a 4 lane roundabout with 3 4 lane roads coming off of it. Not being able to do this backs up traffic on my roundabout as only one lane can turn. Adding lanes just doesn't really do much to help. Only thing I can think of is to do highway exits and entrances for each connection and have those connect on to the normal roads. Any other ideas?

Tell it to Paradox. They'll promptly close your thread and label it "As Desired" and ignore any attempts to get any answers. Paradox is really doing a fantastic job of acting like idiots and angering every last customer they possibly can.
Have you tried connecting a sidewalk to the sidewalk around the roundabout yet? LOL

Yes I did lol. I built an education hub with a self made park connecting them right by it. But the traffic back up coming off the freeway is backing up because of only that one lane turning. I think for now I might just go with the freeway exit idea. I have the room, it just wont look as good.

That's not how a roundabout works.
The outer lane is always an exit lane.
The inner lane(s) is a transit lane for vehicles that aren't taking the immediate exit.

Usually, roundabouts only have 2 lanes, unless they have to take in a huge amount of traffic. (like le rond point de l'étoile in Paris. note that this one also has the particularity to have a right hand priority instead of left hand)

How did you notice? You ruined the big Christmas Sale! Jerk.

OP, there is almost no lane management in this game. On purpose. Comments about that on the Paradox forums are met invariably with "As Designed" and ignored.
Obviously, Paradox intends to sell us the mods we used for free in the original, and not give the creators so much as a thank you.

I fixed it by using 1 way roads. First right is one way off, middle is both ways, left is one way on. 3 and 4 lane roundabouts work perfect this way.
