Only 10% off in Winter Sale?
Just surprised is all. Seems like a lost opportunity to me. I was hoping for better incentive to give this a try. Sorry if I wasted your time with this but I really wanted to say it.
Thank you for understanding.

Same. I sit on it until it's at least 50% off. If I'm gonna spend hundreads on DLCs in the next years I expect a cheap base game! Like they did at EA with Sims base game for free. The DLCs are their cash cow.

Get a "free demo" and try it out for yourself. At least see how and if it runs on your rig.

I guess only time will tell. I'm a fairly patient person and almost never pay full price for a game since I got lots of games to play in the meantime and still enjoy CS1

It's a fine line they don't want to cross. Paradox wants to put everything on sale, but they also don't want to upset their customers, even more, who bought this game less than 2 months ago for full price and then see it on sale right after.

The game barely released, so want it or not, no, do not expect deeper discounts for a while.

Mystic,Here's the solution to that. Take the Ultimate Edition which is now going for $89.95 and make another deal available to current owners for $39.95 because it doesn't come with the base version. Then put the base version on sale for $30. That way a new buyer could get the ultimate for $70 and previous owners would still be getting a great deal on the update.

I spend full price money but I do not care if it goes on sale right now. You know this when buying products that are not discounted. I paid for that early adopter feeling and did we get some! They might as well sell it cheap now because imho this game flopped. Better get as many people on board as they can.

Steam players residing in Argentina got the game with 80% discount,
compared to usd payers.
The best legal Steam offer on launch day actually was -88%, for Argentina residents.

I wouldn’t buy this at 50%off.

10% off in December for a game that was released in October is not bad actually.

I was about to write about that it wasn't actually released, but in early access, then I had to check if it actually was released as a "full game" and it is. I was almost sure it was on early access because how bad everything seems to be.
I really wanted to buy this game prior to release, but the performance, bugs and poor simulation is just a big turn off. I'm even just looking at the grey market for the game, and it's so much cheaper than on steam and yet it feels too expensive for what it is.

I also wanted to buy this game prior to release but I was unhappy with the dev diaries and especially the ones around the map, the economy and transportation raised more questions than they answered despite the questions were clearly raised by the community. The "behind the scenes" came across like a 10 year old has made an article for their school newspaper, the video footage came across like no effort whatsoever was invested in them, looked like someone on their way from the work desk to the canteen took them on a mobile phone. Even if they misspeak and had to laugh in front of the camera the scene was not redone but just published anyway. Maybe there was just time pressure and they had no time to do it properly or maybe it's because they are a software developer, not a film studio. Either way, I decided to wait until after release and now I am happy that I waited.

The percentage of a deal or the option to get it on the grey market is no motivator to me personally; If I think I get a lot out of the game I am happy to buy it at full price. If I sense it's not ready and I won't enjoy it then even a 50% off would not help.
