try to use vsync. it helped some people but not all
Try not to zoom in and out in game too often or too quickly. I noticed this was the main cause of crashes in my case. The game doesn't like the moment when it switches between high level view and the view with cars and citizens.
CO has announced not to expect rapid patches/fixes going forward. If you can still refund and choose not to, you're gambling your $50 that this won't get abandoned in one fashion or another like a number of recent PDX games. Conversely if you refund and they do eventually manage to finish the game at some point, you'll be able to re-buy at a discount.
Check your drivers and antivirus. GEForce experience is a good start but I found a little playing around I could do better.
At that point you are better off just refunding and bying Skylines 1 for your citybuilding fix
Looks better maxed out, no bugs anymore, tons of content, difficulty settings, mods galore.
You can always buy this later again when there is a huuuuuge sale and everything is patched. The developers said that fixing performance and bugs is a very loooooong road ahead and we should not expect a lot right now. So there is that.
In the GPU end the RTX 3070 and RTX 3060 Ti cards perform the worst of the higher end cards. I think it is purely because they only have 8GB of vram. The Arc A770 16GB handles the graphics smoother at the same exact settings. I know in situations where the game doesn't need more then 8GB of vram the RTX 3070 and RTX 3060 Ti will generally outperform the Arc A770 16GB. However as it's drivers have been updated the performance gap has been closing.
You might not want to hear it but that is the truth.
It's the game, stop trolling
Listen, OP, this game on default settings had 5 FPS in the main menu in the first boot because it was rendering a background made of a live city of about 100k population with those settings that caused so much problems on High by default such as LOD and DOF
So what about on Radeon cards, how does it run on them? :))
Do you have a 4K screen?
Because without native resolution it looks horrendous and super blurry on such monitors and there is no DLSS to fix this at the moment.
