Tips for Subway building
Does anyone have any tips for building subways? I've put a few stations down but can't easily distinguish them on the map - is there anything I can do to make them easier to find?

Thanks - it's more not being able to see where I've put the stations as there's too much going on. Will try clicking down.

I thought like a little symbol would popup above them when in the subway menu, but i never got that far, it seems to do for other things tho.

Yeah, I think they should add highlights to stations that stand out in underground mode - I spent a good two hours making a subway loop and I'm still not sure I got all my stations I plopped down.

Put subway track depth at 60ft instead of the default 30

I'm suffering from this piece of the sim for a couple of days now. In the article referenced in the first comment, is this quote "The elevation function measures the relative depth at the starting point, but a single piece of track will try to maintain the same absolute depth at its end point. This means players may need to raise or lower the track's end depth to follow the map's contours. "
What this tells me is that it isn't easy to connect stations that are actually at different levels to each other. Now, I haven't found any way to vary the distace from the surface except in 10 meter increments, an to me, it appears that this is too course, especially when running track trhough a rolling terrain, where one station is at one level, and the next is at an entirely relative level - your station may be 20 neters below the ground, but if your track, which ehtered the ground at 20 meters, is NOW effectively at 30 meters below the surface!
So, to my way of thinking, EITHER the rule needs to change so that the rail is at 20 meters when it approaches the station, OR there needs to be a way of identifying just how far down the track is, and the height (depth) adjustment needs to be much finer than 10, 20,30 etc OR the sim needs to be changed so that the station will capture the line even if it passes above or below the track bed.
I'm using metric measurements - does the NA system use feet" And if so, can you select in increments of 10 feet" If so, that might explain why I tend to be unable to join rail to the station,. or join rail that is undeground at all!
Any thoughts would be most welcome.

To the right of the elevation control for subway tracks is a a little icon (looks like a bar chart) that controls steps. It defaults to 10 m, but you can set it for 5m, 2.5m or even 1.25m.
