It is bugged, they will complain about smog even though the air is as clean as it can be, always happens and nothing we can do until it's patched out

That's not a bug, that's an accurate representation of people complaining.

Also not all "Chirper" things are truly accurate, the amount of "Likes" each post gets determine how many people agree with - the more likes, the more 'true' the issue is.

So all my industrial is south of literally every residential zone, the wind is blowing south east, and someone the other side of the map is complaining of smog when literally not one single house has even a speck of air pollution anywhere near it?

It's a bug

The chirper is meant to inform the player of actual issues, if I wanted non-issues blown out of proportion I'd go to twitter IRL

Just because you say it's a bug, doesn't mean it's a bug, the devs put a system in place for the player to determine how many people agree with a thing.

"City too noisy!" 0 people like the post, it's not a noisy city, but that person still has a right to "chirp" that non-true statement.

You're gonna be waiting a long long time for it to be patched out (it's not going to be.) peace.

Demolishing their house for chirping sounds reasonable.

tbf, Chirper was annoying alot of people in the first one, i don't see how making it more annoying is going to have a positive affect.

Why would the devs design it to be that way, that would be the most stupid, annoying, pointless system because it's just going to spam random ♥♥♥♥ that isn't true lol

There's already a ton of chirps after you reach about 100k pop there's 0 reason to bloat that for the sake of some weird "realism"

have you look the air flow direction?

e.g. air direction flows to up of map so if you build house, market, office zone in the top of map, don't build industrial building under house, market, office zone.
you have to build industrial building is in the top of house, market, office zone.
look your air flow direction

You can still get what OP is talking about with your entire industrial area blowing off the map with residents miles away from it

As long as we don't build residential areas, offices, markets above industrial areas or air pollution flows, there will be no air pollution problems.
my city, I am building, is free from air pollution.

my city problem now is only garbage car.

I literally just told you the residents will complain about smog even if all the air pollution is going off the map and they live miles away from it... there will always be people complaining about it regardless

Garbage was fixed in the last hotfix

You own the game, if you think it isn't true, then merely load the game -wait for a person to complain about something and - watch if they get likes or not on their post in the bottom right of the screen.

I have no more a clue why the devs did it this way than you, but they did, and so all I can say is - get used to it, it's annoying, but it's how it works.
and unlike the unfortunate removed content they took out, this feature is not going anywhere, at all. Because.

Agreed that it's annoying, but, then again it 'is' simulating Twitt- X. So I suppose it does a good job at what it's supposed to be. At least they got "Something" right.

Why would them getting likes or not make a difference, likes will be based on population not true or not lol

you think with a 50 pop city with smog someones gonna get 500 likes? no, they will get a proportionate response regardless of the population

Seems like all you wanna do is troll so not gonna waste time with you seen as you don't even own the game :cleanseal::m9beretta:

You not knowing how the game works, means I'm a troll? okay buddy, sure. I'll just refuse to answer any questions you post in the future, sounds like a good deal to me, p.s you're the one spreading false info = P
