Follow one or two cars and see what they are doing. It might help to build some parking spots.
@Paradox: would be nice to have an indication for a shortage of parking spots
It’s does in the road info view.
The initial dripfeed of available squares might make you feel you don't have enough, but the more you progress the more you'd have squares you wouldn't use.
it only shows the parking spots built, not the spots availble on the road sides or inside the buildings. This overview does not help for the problem... its merely a very rough indicator.
A heatmap would be nice, to see where people struggle to find a parking spot (and end up circling around the city, creating traffic)
Not sure how performant it would be, but they might consider using "Average distance from home/work to parking spot" to generate a parking spot heatmap. They'd have to baseline things to figure out the best points to shift colors, so I'd imagine the feature would take a bit of time to iron out.
