Shading and Texture Issues
One of the main issues that I keep running into while playing is a shading/texture issue with assets. I don't know what is causing the bug, but for some reason assets resort to a low poly form during random points in the game and assets will sometimes not be shaded correctly. As a example, when I place a park and go back to the normal game play screen, buildings and trees will be a low poly texture and cars just appear black.

The issue corrects itself after sometime, but it happens enough to the point I just want to walk away from my computer. Any advice on what I should do to try and fix the issue or is this just something that needs to be patched out?

Following, I'm likewise having the same issue. It's just not nearly as huge as the garbage and mail has been for me.

Getting the same issue (on high end system), on max setting or lower settings. find that rotating camera 360 degrees or moving to another location and back again fixes it 80% of the time

Same here - good fps and performance generally, doesn't seem to be thrashing my pc, but graphics often resort to potato-quality for no apparent reason, and it is annoying.

Here too. Need to adjust cross-fade setting on LOD or texture MIP bias to get rid of it. Seems that the virtual texturing is the reason.

I don't know if it's the same problem that I had but in the advanced option, at the very bottom there is a check mark with cross fade that I uncheck and I no longer have this problem when I stay on a view where everything gets weird. If it's for textures from afar the LODs make the textures ugly and load after 1 second. (on the menu the game virtualizes textures, maybe a problem on this side.

by the way, each launch need to go in option cause it doesnt save the uncheck crossfade.

After some testing, I can say this does work. Hopefully we do get a more permanent fix for this issue in the future.

It is CO's new texture rendering solution they used on CS2 and yes it is extremely annoying. They are aware of the problem and are looking into it.
