How do I use train cargo route tool

How do I set a route up?
I click on train cargo route symbol and a green train symbol appears at the end of each of my rail lines in cargo terminal.

Similar green train symbol appears at edge of my map

I presume I have to join the green train symbols between terminal and edge of map.

I've tried click and drag - nothing
I've tried clicking on terminal green train symbol and edge of map one - nothing

I presume the title "Lines" on the terminal information table is to do with this and each route that has been created will show increments of 1. Mine is at 0

Is there a YouTube video that shows all this?

im not 100%, but to set up a buss line, you have to set the route, and then finish it by pressing the first point again.

Maybe if you set it to the edge of the map, and then back to cargo base?

hi, you need to complete the circle, so train cargo than end of rail than train cargo

Be aware you can also use outside connections as "stops"

I need help with my cargo train. I setup 2 cargo line. One is going north and the other is south. I have 1 cargo track. The thing is my train is importing not exporting stuff. Why is that. And when it waits it disappears.

The EXPORT is bugged and currently only works with Trucks. No EXPORT is done by trains, ships and planes.....hope they fix this soon.

You must own the tiles on the edge of the map where the connections are. I am using the existing dual tracks that are on my map. You must create waypoints to make a cargo route. First waypoint will be the cargo station, 2nd way point will be at the rail connection to the city at the end of the map which you trade with, 3rd is back at the cargo station. And that's one route.Repeat for multiple routes. Also click on the ? icon that is beside the settings icon on the top right of screen, the info is there how to set way points.
