Damn... It seems like the only people who really love this game are on reddit.

man, the truth of it was we're aiming for 10/10 right. but yeah, until the game is 10/10 may reviews reflect the actual experiences people are having.

This could have been a really awesome game :D but right now it is a real state, and reddit can continue to be a source of hope, for the realists as well perhaps there is room for strong statements to bring about strong improvements and change.

We'll see I guess man, in the meantime I'll be-a-waiting for a great game.

You never know, the potential is clearly there man, that is what I actually find the most infuriating? what about yall?

The irony, is the game is a 10/10. Just the devs released too early, or they didn't have early access for pre-orders. so they could get more trouble shooting before actual release.

I was pleasantly surprised it got 3.3 of 10! I was sure it was going to be closer to 1 of 10. LOL

But this game has always been problematic since CS1 released over 8-years ago. Each DLC has always been problematic. but mostly from mods. So, hopefully they'll get on track soon.

CS1 released with a few major patches over a few months. I never thought it would be any different for CS2, and it seems to be the case. Hopefully their previous experience will get them out a little quicker.

^^ I agree with what this man said.

Imagine losing literally millions of sales because some idiot somewhere couldn't wait to fix the issues. Hint: some of the issues are hard-limit issues and some of the bugs are caused by badly added patch-fixes to get over the 'hard limit' issues.

This hurts. It's painful for the intelligent among us.

I would add this is my opinion but it doesn't take someone too smart to see its probably not entirely imaginary. It shows in the gameplay. The game could be 10/10 but all the frustrating crap which is finickly like sewers and road snapping, some things that are harder to do that shouldnt be so ridiculously finicky (why do you need 3 levels for power lines and water literally wtf?) added on to the hard-limit issues and the cross-issues of service tuning interacting in bizarre ways with the mechanics, the game feels really overengineered and im worried wheter its fixable because it been in development a long time.

It's literally like 3 teams wrote the game and didn't talk to eachother properly or unit test their functions and when the whole games functions were all put together in final branch compiles even the kings men couldnt fix it , like.

Really I am starting to accept that some of these issues may not get fixed. but 'patched to death', whether thats a win or not for us, someone else can decide. im pretty much done making noise except to remind folks once in a while to ensure patches and wider attention to bugs keep coming

You just described the game Humankind. Failed for the same reason.

I was originally hopeful that the potential is there, but the more I’ve done tests to cheese the simulation the more I think it’s mostly fake.

There’s definitely something to the simulation, but it’s definitely not represented in a lot of what we see, be it in the UI or in the actual city.

Time will tell, but currently, I don’t feel I received what I purchased
Must have missed it. Been too busy playing (and enjoying) the game.
Flippancy aside, are there bugs and issues? Yeah. But the core of it is there and even in this state it is enjoyable. (100+ hours in)

I can see this one being played years into the future and it can only get more engaging and immersive from here and I am glad to see weekly patches addressing and knocking down one issue after the next. So overall, could the devs have worked on it more to smooth/optimize it into a much more polished state? Sure. Will they? Bet your bottom dollar they will.

So yeah, they eat some crow for releasing it as is, but the hate for this game is FAAAR overblown.

The root of all the problems I see are just irratic traffic. they don't plan their route, last min lane changes etc. Pedestrians screw up traffic like a bad case of the herpes...
