Underground Parking causing traffic Jams
I get that the parking process in cities can be rough, but I've never seen any sort of traffic jam occurring in parking structures other than during huge events. Vehicles are coming to a complete stop before going in, and its screwing with the flow of traffic for 400M leading into the structure. Usually during rush hour. The vehicles should not be stopping, especially when the structure's entrance is on the proper side of the road for incoming traffic on a one way (Right turn/Left turn depending).

All parking causes traffic jams but catch this, it's not the parking it's the Ahole cims who never stops for anything that block the cars from pulling in.

i always put the car parks on dead end streets, with nothing else, less chance cims get in the way and traffic going into them should not hold up the rest of your roads

I gave up using any parking structures as it just seems to lead to a huge increase in traffic all trying to park even if it's nowhere near where they are wanting to go. Same with parking along the roads, I've removed all that too.

How do you remove road parking?

By adding wide sidewalks to the road.

It just has the same problem as a real parking lot. What kind of measures are taken around the entrances of real parking lots? Please observe the following.

There are many things that can be done, such as eliminating on-street parking, directing pedestrians to other areas, and prohibiting entry from the opposite lane.

How do you remove road parking?

1.Making the street planted with trees will eliminate on-street parking.
2.Apply Roadside parking fee district policy.

In my game it happens with any parking lot, even the smaller one.

I've also noticed that traffic will break check at every controlled intersection regardless of their green light. I've seen that totally mess over a cul du sac of mine once.

I stopped using parking because the cars that enter the parking area move too slowly and inevitably cause more traffic than they solve. The real game changer for me has been effective public transit. Subways and buses have drastically reduced my traffic to where parking seems irrelevant.

If they fix the speed of entering/exiting cars I think it would be fine but as is every single parking lot is a traffic bomb.
