Bridge over Shipping Lane
I am wracking my brain on how to fix this issue. I've tried most of the road types trying to build over the major import/export shipping lane, and it won't work. Anyone have a solution?

It has worked for me to use a height of 40 meters, and start with the bridge itself, then do the approaches after. Even the narrow shipping lane is too wide for the default concrete bridge that is completed. It was very tricky for me but I got it. Generally suspended/cable stayed spans on major roads are better to use for this.

bump it up to at least 135+ ft/40+ meters. try drawing a level segment across the shipping lane first then connect each end to land.

I've tried all of that already, but maybe I just need to fiddle with it a bit more. It's annoying.

That looks like it's either the medium or small shipping lane (yes?).

Yes. I am expecting (since this was the tutorial map) that there just isn't room for the large shipping lane. With those I expect only the largest of suspension bridges to be able to cross. You cannot have pillars in the shipping channel, which makes sense.

The other option, which happens IRL, is to tunnel under it.

OMG! I cannot believe I forgot I could just dig a damn tunnel. Haha.

Tunnels ftw.

The only way I've been able to bridge over these "water roads" is buy ramping to the highest possible elevation point in a road and build as close to the starting point of one side of it then start a new section of road to make it over the shipping lane. From there ramp back down.
