Why do my buildings say no water connection or backed up sewage

i just bought the game and sewage is backed up and no buildings have a water connection, even though i have put both water and sewage pipes connecting to them and to the water pumping stations and the sewage drains

Either something isn't connected, or your pumping stations aren't pumping enough water for your city. Being that your sewage is also a problem, I'm guessing something isn't powered or you don't have enough of something.

i have a nuclear power plant providing power to my city but its saying no water and sewage backup, i have done the the same as cities skylines 1 and this game is beyond broken

double check the specs on the nuke plant. its very demanding and will drain whatever excess water and sewage you thought you had.

Broken? It's working fine for most of us. Instead of just assuming it's broken, just fix whatever you didn't do right.
