How do I get big trees in my city??

I love filling my cities with trees, and that is what I used to do in CS1, but in this game, they are so extremely tiny??? so it looks awful. How can I make them bigger? Or get the same as the "natural" ones that are created by the game??

They grow over time. Don't think there's a way to plop them down already fully-grown, except maybe with dev mode.
