OUTSOURCING OP!?!?! (Garbage/water/sewerage) Budget still wrong
Once you connect a water pipe, sewerage pipe and roads to outside connection all of your own buildings become massive money wasters?

I built the hadron collider and it added the 3,000,000m3 water/sewerage to the amount my city produced so I went on a mission to deal with it. I built about 16 extra water purifiers to all with 3x increased processing capacity each. My processing capacity only went from 2.000,000m3 to 4,000,000m3 a month. Looking though all the water purifiers I built they were only running at ~10% efficiency so all of them were only able to process 30,000m3 of waste.

I delete all of those and replaced them with about the same amount of non-upgraded water purifiers and at first it jumped up to the expected 7,000,000m3 but then again efficiency dropped and it went back down to 3,000,000m3 per month.

I saw the water being dealt with externally so I decided to connect up the sewerage to outside sources until I could sort it out.

At that point I thought I must be absolutely bleeding money because I had 2,000,000m3 of waste and water being dealt with the outside connections but to my surprise it was only costing me about $400K to have all that dealt with.

So I deleted all the water, sewerage buildings (my budget was around $4,000,000 a month)
and now for 6,000,000m3 of water and sewerage it only costs $1,000,000 a month.

Outsourcing made all those buildings not only useless but detrimental to your city to have because they waste a tonne of money when you can just get it all externally done for a fraction of the price.

It makes 0 sense that using external services would cost you way less then having your own services set up to deal with it.

That’s why it’s so hard on…budget.. frankly I am looking at $700k when import water and sewage services for that project alone.

If you planned to water it yourself, it’s $2.4mil!

Damn they completely overhauled it, now 2 incinerators is enough to cover the whole city.
