Deal with flooding? Pump out water?
Hey guys and gals.

So the terrain tool is a bit... finicky. When I elevate it elevates too fast so I used the "level" terrain tool, which is still not super clear to me how it works. (Supposed to right click to select the elevation? Right? Or no?)

ANYWAY I accidentally leveled a hill that was protecting me from a river. The river flooded part of my city, around 1/4 of it and damaged a hundred buildings. I raised the terrain to protect my city from the river again but the water remained and is not going away...

So what to do? Is there a pumping service? Firefighters maybe? I ended up demolishing the entire city area and at this point I will delete that save...

How to deal with flooding? How to repair flooded buildings? How to pump out excess water?

Thanks!

Can't unfortunately. I imagine wad an oversight that will be remedied through DLCs

Yeah unless someone has a better solution, I haven't found it though.

If you can, in some central location dig a pit. Water will flow into it. For a while it will be a little pond, then it will evaporate and you can raise it up again. Used to do it in CS1.

I'm curious have you actually had success with that method in cs2? I'm asking because I tried that as well as it is the obvious solution and didn't work. Just needed to wait forever for all the water to evaporate.
