If you are getting the "Small Homes" penality, it means those people are complaining that their home unit they are renting is too small for their tastes. Higher densities have smaller home sizes. Having a mix of different densities is the best solution to this problem.
I've now looked again
They say there aren't enough workers because they lack lower-skilled workers
Population 96562
Adults approx. 45%/43525 people
The Population info screen says:
Jobs 65551
Employed 39091
Unemployed 28.1%
According to City Statistics, there are almost 4,000 unemployed
Workplace availability is shown in the info screen
Workplaces 66008
Employes 48628
When I click on the RCI it says low density, medium density and high density housing
-Workplace availability
The industry says: -worker availability
I don't get any demand for residential buildings, even though I have tons of job openings
Even if I create new areas and don't offer any services so that the land value remains low, almost only pensioners come. In the last test area that I created there were 2 apartment buildings with 65 apartments each in which 65 children moved in without parents
Is there something wrong, or am I stupid?
I have a large district where there is an industrial area within a kilometer
In the other districts too maximum 1.5km distance
Everything connected to highways and public transport
Yes, I started the city right on the day of the release
I have had this problem since the last update
Nobody wants to move in anymore and I supposedly have such high unemployment
When I look at the population info screen it shows me that I have 65551 jobs and 39091 employed
When I then look at the Workplace availability info screen
Workplaces 66008
Employes 48628
If I now assume that commuters come to work in my city (I've already seen that), that means 9,537 people commute
Nevertheless, I have more than enough jobs, I still had 17k open positions if I can believe the information
From the looks of it, the save game is buggy
I guess I can start a new city
Pity
