Cargo ship route - Can't get it set up; pretty frustrating.

I can't get a cargo ship route set up. It states no car access road requried when trying to create small or medium seaways and connect it to the existing seaway that leads out out of town. Not sure how to get past this..

I got the same error trying to set up a subway connection to the airport, at least that's a secondary connection...
Have you tried deleting the port and rebuilding?

I tried moving it and that didn't work. They are pretty expensive. I could try again. I guess it's a learning thing anyway, but think it's bugged in some places.

I finally got it working. I deleted it and built a new one with more of it in the water. Once I did that it allowed me to build the routes, etc. Thanks.

It's actually got something to do we the way the game deal when plopping a seaway if the angle gets too acute it eats into the seaway that comes with the harbour resulting in the shipping slot made unavailable. Destroy and Replopping the seaway in less acute angles usually helps.
