How long until my laptop explodes
These are the configuration of my notebook: I7 11800h, rtx 3050 4gb, 24gb ram, How far can I go playing in these configurations, will it last up to 200k people? or am I wishing too much?

if your laptop explodes then there is something wrong with it.

from what i heard good craphics card + processors start to really struggle at 300k but not tested myself but i never thought of laptops as lot of PCs found out that their power supplies and their fans are struggling and there was 10s of posts about 'my computer shutting down' laptops are known to have less airflow than PC so if someone has it and it runs the game tell us whats it like
all these people so scared of their computer due to troll review bombs. I have a 4.0 ghz 8 core amd and a bloody 1680 twin razor 7... Just had to poke a few things down to medium and click off Vsync. I'm at 130k pop and there is very little sim speed or fps drop, no heat issues or over nomming of the cpu... Yer good dude ^_^

I hate these types of posts, MODERN computers have built in protection, so your laptop will shutdown before it get's close to exploding, plus if it shuts down, it would point to an issue with your hardware, not the game.

It's just that certain games or any software can push the limits of hardware, but if it's hitting the point of where your hardware shuts off, it's your hardware or windows settings...

Running an old nitro 5. Gpu is staying relatively cool oddly, far worse in civ 6. I sit my laptop on a "fan stand" so I think that helps. For the most part it's running great. At about 160k pop and it struggle when I delete whole blocks of buildings to revamp the road network sort of thing but generally good.
