If this game isn't fixed in the next few months, I am done with it. I really enjoyed playing the game. I also plan on keeping the game as well, but this is completely uncalled for. Standard buyer's should have been given the deluxe edition for free, And deluxe owner's deserve a 40.00 refund for all these problems.
Lol. It has utterly nothing to do with your internet connection.
The issue is Steam or Colossal Order
can't agree more, just lost my 10hrs file at this moment.
I've tried to located the save game file. It's still in there. But can't be reload....
its not the game fault, its STEAM CLOUD.
i can say it again .... DEACTIVATE STEAM CLOUD and save local.
since many years i have no problems with savegames not using steam cloud.
You came to the right conclusion, but with the wrong diagnosis.
This is definitely Cities Skylines 2's fault. I have NEVER had problems with Steam Cloud, but somehow this game destroyed my data.
CS2 because of the huge size of the savegames, Steam for not handling savegames properly until they got fully uploaded, especially when uploading is interrupted.
It's unfortunate but the game seems to delete the old save file before writing the new game file.
My advice is to alternate between local and cloud based saves to have more then one file. Plus you can also try enabling auto save in the settings.
