Good to know about the bulldozing. Played CS1 for so long it never occurred to me to just doze the landfill. Cheesy but if it works for now then do it.
Bypassing a bug with another bug >.< I think I'll just start a new one and hang on for a proper fix. Thanks though :)
I built a port for my industry and watched cargo ships come in and dump 400T of garbage in it and watched my incinerators fill up...
Why is there no way to turn off importing garbage is beyond me.

I've even followed some garbage trucks. They pass by buildings that are complaining about garbage, they stop, don't pick up ANYTHING. Then the truck remains empty, go away, and the building keeps complaining.
My city reached 220k people and it has been impossible to play because of this garbage issue.
Don't come and talk to me that is "how it's supposed to work". That is a BUG
Check the garbage info view - if the building is green you need to demolish it and rebuild if on an existing city
