Grid Pattern Issue
After the last Hot Fix (or maybe it was an issue before but didn't notice it). I have all the snapping options ON, but when I lay roads, the grid buildable pattern is scattered all over the place, even when I use the grid road option. Even if the buildable area looks square, some of my zones darken out (after a building builds - not a large square/rectangular lot surround by roads) and wont let the zones develop. I've unticked some of the snapping options, ticked some of the others on and off, then others, had them all on, etc. My ODC is kicking in high-drive and its DRIVING ME NUTSO!

How is a road that is 90 degrees in all 4 corners NOT allowing perfect buildable areas within?

Anyone else having this issue in building just Grid Patterns?

Not sure if it's exactly what you mean, but using snap to grid and guidelines can cause extremely small shifts that break the grid. Even if the angle says 90 degrees.

There are several reasons why the zone grids break up. Elevation, some strange geometry with road placement, and for some reason just snapping to different guidelines can change how the zone layout forms.

@clarkmp91506 is right. You have to get used to turn “snap to road guidelines” option, on and off. It took me a while to get used to it but now it makes sense. In general: The road tools are super fun to use and build. As I said; you have to be patient. As soon as you get the hang of it, you’ll love it!! Hope this helps! Enjoy!!!

Sometimes road junction have several connection points, very close to each another. You can try to zoom in.
