It's a no lose situation as long as you don't actually treat it like a game. But if you wanted a game and want to treat this wall paper like a game.... then may the force be with you.
This is a problem that can happen in any 'creative' field and often the best solution is to just get something down and work with it even if it doesn't feel perfect.
Just build something, anything, it will be OK.

Great tutorials, teaches you all the options in the game, tips & tricks and workaround for things and most importantly gives an overview how to build your grids. Just follow this guy and you will learn a lot and then you can experiment on your own! Screw perfection, that comes after a year of experience :)
