Cars using Bus Lanes

Aside from poor performance even on an i7 13700K and 3080Ti, which I am sure they will fix. I haven't seen anyone mention cars constantly using bus lanes?
I created a bus lane to connect a roundabout to a parallel road as a short cut for buses only. But ALL vehicles use it.
Frustrating that the game is released in such a poor state, so many bugs.

i'm also getting this issue, and I'm not sure why. it's almost like car's are avoiding bus lanes as they should, but only until they find traffic on their other route; then bus lane gets full of regular vehicles.

actually, I've just gone back and looked at the description, and it does mention "turning traffic" being allowed to use them. not sure if this is the "norm" in the US, but i expect my bus lanes to just be for buses/Emergency vehicles etc

Maybe it's simulating a-hole drivers IRL who start using bus lanes and ride the shoulder when traffic is ♥♥♥♥ 😂

I agree. When you got a lot of intersections there is almost always a turn. The lane is useless then.

Yeah frustrating behaviour. I have some straight bus lane only roads coming off a roundabout to join a part of my city as a short-cut, no turns, but they still use the lane.
Will be great if we had something closer to Traffic Manager in the game soon. really control the flow of roads a lot better

This was an issue in cs1, it's a shame they didn't change it.

I have this issue also, I created a one way bus lane coming off a 3 lane road, going to a roundabout. It is used by all vehicles and causes a traffic jam, the only reason I put a bus road there was to avoid a traffic jam from putting a regular road🤬

I then tried creating a connection from a roundabout, but still the same problem, my last idea was to create a slip road off of a motorway/highway with the one way bus road. initially I thought it had worked but gave it a few minutes and the problem happened all over again... Never had issues like this in CS

This was an issue in CS1 as well. It is intended behaviour but makes the lanes practically useless in a lot of cases. I don't know why the devs didn't design them like the dedicated tram lanes rather than making it so cars turning right have to use the bus lane. It makes no sense.

Am I losing my mind? I don't see an option for "bus lanes". My busses keep stopping in the lane that other cars are using, so I'm trying to get a dedicated bus/truck lane.
