I can't stop laughing
Paradox made an announcement that the game will not perform well, people knew what's gonna happen. Still, they bought it on release, are now surprised and complain.

I know lol i did buy it through cd keys at a discount as i doubt the price drastically dropping for awhile and i know they will be patching it up all the time i knew the performance would be hit and miss

People weren't expecting 100fps on 4k maybe but 10fps in menu is unacceptable

its a slide show

I am Captain NO pre-order! Guys, this stuff makes games bad. Stop it! Waiting is free and you don't have to worry about getting a refund.

Really.

There's "not perform well" and then there's 10-fps in menu on a 4090.

LOL! I wonder were Maddie is?

It is much better than i expected.. High GPU load even in empty cities (with CPU idling around at now 1%) only makes me a little bit concerned.

Disabling depth of field boost fps by a lot (from totally unplayable to perfectly playable for me
I don't have any issues so far on high settings, not sure what people are raving on about. The nights are extremely dark though, had to disable them cause otherwise building roads is impossible.

What a senseless post to most of the community that is unhappy with the game now.

I could care less about the performance, that was a given.
I reviewed and refunded because its a lousy reskin with built in mods from #1.
No steam workshop.
The maps are horrible and are NOT bigger as advertised.
And thats where I stopped and R&R'd it. It was enough lies and smoke from a company I already dont like. I have no more patience for this garbage.
If I play it at all it will be for free on gamepass. Anyone who has gamepass and is not doing exactly that is as dumb as I thought I must have been for buying it here in the first place.

1. They massively understated the problem, I have never seen a game optimized this bad, Cyperpunks Performance was perfect on release compared to this
2. Refunds are a thing
3. Many (like me) play the game on Gamepass, so paid nothing, just come here to talk about it, cause Microsoft doesn't have a Forum like Steam

And that makes it okay to release it? Lmao.

Also we all hopefully agree that they understated this, the performance isnt bad, its horrific.

I have an AMD 7700x and a 4090.
I've only done 10 minutes of the tutorial, it feels smooth (so far) but the GPU fans are running like a 747 is trying to take off with too much load. The PC is drawing 700watts before I built a single structure.

Maybe they're talking about the 30% of us that actually get decent performance lol

I get 90 FPS or so in a new city after optimizing settings and disabling specific options (that should probably be disabled by default, given the performance issues...)
The default graphical settings aren't doing the game any favors, and they're just making the performance issues way worse compared to their potential graphical improvements.

But—My performance should be twice what it is, and people with older hardware shouldn't be getting 20 FPS, 4090 owners shouldn't be getting 15 FPS trying to run the game in 4K...

There is something seriously wrong here, and I don't know why the publisher would push them to release the game with such glaring performance issues, especially given the critical reception of recent game releases with similar issues.

One thing I find particularly interesting is how well optimized the game is when it comes to CPU utilization, but how absolutely atrocious the game is on the GPU.

Is it just performance?
