I've Noctua NH-D15 as CPU cooler and I had no issues e.g. in Hogwarts Legacy during the 83 hours of gameplay
There might be another solution though. I have the exact same motherboard with a 5950X and had random reboots with the kernel (Linux) reporting cpu errors. Although this happened only when sculpting in Blender for some reason, never in games, it could still be a related problem. My motherboard was shipped with old firmware, version 2003 IIRC. I flashed the BIOS to version 2806 about 6 months ago and haven't had a single unexpected reboot since then. Find out which version you have. If you have the same version, or one from around the same date, it might be a clue. I don't know exactly which version this was fixed in, only know all works fine with 2806.
Since I don't know how tech-savvy you are, it's worth mentioning that flashing the BIOS is risky business and not something I would usually recommend other than as a last resort. You could end up bricking your motherboard if you're careless. If you want to try this, do it at your own risk or find someone to do it for you.
I was talking about buggy BIOS firmware that might be causing the problem. It has nothing to do with the game itself.
Event Viewer mentions "Computer rebooted from a bugcheck"
"The bugcheck was 0x0000003b. A dump was saved in C:\WINDOWS\Minidumps\*Random numbers*.dmp
Never have I experienced any issues on any other game, on max settings. So it's most likely a CS II issue and not a PC hardware issue.
