it very old hardware, very old for any modern gaming unless u dial down gfx to potato level. you can try at low settings with CS2 and check yourself.

From my point of view it is not that old hardware, I live in Argentina and here a current gaming PC costs several salaries. A shame, but thanks for the info

In what world do we live in where a high GPU 4 generation behind is below minimum specs ?
The 1650 is basically a gtx 1070. It's worth a try. CPU might be a tad bit weak.

The CPU is weak but praying 3 times per power on improves its performance by 20% :coolstar2022:

and regarding the graphics card in my opinion it is incredible but apparently for this game it is not enough even with much more expensive graphics :rinconfused:

buy a new laptop or pc, i would said.

3 hours into the game on my Ryzen 7 3800X, GTX 1660 Ti 6 GB, 32 GB RAM, I'm getting 25-30 fps @1080p in fullscreen, which is about the same as CS1. That's with Squirrel's suggested graphics settings which in my case loads the GPU to about 95% and eats all the VRAM, but the CPU is barely doing anything.

On the default setting the game is literally unplayable, and CO is aware of it. They even made a post stating to lower the graphics settings.

You say it as if it were simple, my PC is super expensive and buying a better one is much more expensive (at least for the salaries here), it's not worth spending so much money on games (I don't have the money either:rinconfused::rinconfused:)

Your answer helps me a lot, thank you

I was curious to see what was up with all the GPU problems and figure it out before buying. It sounds like there IS a graphics issue that needs to be sorted out in the game. 90% of the complaints seem to come from owners of 40 series and 7000 series GPUs, which should have no problems. On the other hand, my roommate is currently behind my playing on Medium settings with an older 2060 GPU. (He likes to complain, so I'm assuming all is well at his end of the room.)
I completely understand the suggestions to "change your settings" for older cards, or as a temporary fix for the problem, but in the end, the Devs DO have to address this issue.
It's also good to see even older cards, like the 1660, can run it as well.
I have faith that fixes will come fairly quickly, as we are literally at release at this time. Betas have bugs, So do final releases, but those bugs should be quickly dealt with. Lets give this a month or so and see how it sits.

So here's the thing. Your hardware is very low end in 2023. Now before you think me a total as-s (I mean I am one normally anyway), I do understand what you're saying about cost where you live. Things are not near as bad as a lot of people are claiming with current high end hardware though. I have a 10900k, 32gb of ram, ssd, and a 4090, and I am playing in a city of about 3k people right now at 1440p resolution at around 60-70 fps. I disabled the things Paradox mentioned needing to do. And I also have vsync turned off as shown by a youtuber who made a big chart the other day. My guess would be that on your hardware you are probably going to have to be on all Low or Disabled settings and at least no higher than 1080p, but maybe even 720p to get something playable. But this is just speculation because I haven't run the game on any hardware even remotely equivalent to yours. Hope this helps at least a little bit

Also, Dari, I do want to address the New PC thing. Your PC might be brand new, but the 1660 GPU is still outdated by around 3 Generations. It sucks that they still put those GPUs (which work great for older games, but often fail with GPU intensive titles like Flight Sim, BG3, and such.)
My suggestion, if everything else is a reasonably current Gen (should be the case) is to upgrade the GPU. an AMD 6600, 6650 or 6700 are all sub $300 and will give massive boosts, allowing all current titles to play without breaking the bank.
I would only recommend more expensive GPUs if you plan to become a pro gamer, or maybe a 3060 if you want Ray tracing or just have to have Nvidia. (Skip 20 series, your GPU is on par with anything reasonably priced.)
The de-mothballing of the 1600 series started because of the GPU shortage and now is continued only to clear the market of a current glut of those older cards. As such, players looking to play current titles should avoid these builds if possible.
